POWER SUPPLY WITH GALVANIC INSULATION FOR TRAIN DEPOT

Problem:

a 750Vdc trains gets staged in a depot with only 1500Vdc catenary line, where no maintenance or functional verification is possible due to the missing 750V dc supply. Client was looking for a cost-efficient way of maintaining those trains in the 1500Vdc depot.

Solution:

Rather than installing a complete new 750Vdc power source supplied by medium voltage, we installed a galvanically insulated very efficient converter system that supplies 150kW at 750Vdc deriving it from the 1500Vdc overhead.
